How pineapples grow

Beach pictures.  I think you can see that we all had a good time :)

(our rented condo in the background)  Totally amazing and can't wait to go back.

Protected coves took the stress out of watching little kids next to big waves.  The rocks break the waves, and then tiny little ripple waves come to the shore.  It was so wonderful to have a vacation where we got to sit back and relax too!!

Koi feedings every morning and afternoon.  It was a great place to meet new friends to play with for the rest of the trip.  There were tons of kids there so Chloe and Madeline had a blast!

We took an afternoon and went to the middle of the island to go to the dole plantation to see how pineapples grow, and to take a train ride though the pineapple fields.  It was AWESOME!  We LOVED every second of it!  Here are the girls waiting in anticipation for the train.

This is seriously how pineapples grow!  It looked like fake plastic pineapples glued into big spiky bushes...so fake that I did indeed check to be sure they were real :)
 Dole whip :)

Exploring the hawaiian gardens.  It was so much fun to wander the paths and look at all of the native Hawaiian flowers and plants, and to see the girls run around exploring on their own.

I just can't say enough about how much fun we had on this trip.  It was so tremendously relaxing.  Andrew and I even got to go on runs, lay by the beach and swim to our hearts content (as long as the other one of us was watching the girls play).  They were so great the whole trip.  Both flights were magical, and believe me I prepped for the very worst (I packed enough for a different activity every 15 minutes) but all the worrying was for nothing.  They are such good fliers!  I still have one more group of photos before I am going to have to admit that I am no longer in sunny hawaii, but in snowy snowy Alaska.  It is gorgeous here too, but much colder :)
