Lots of visitors

This has been a fun week for Chloe! She got a lot of time with Grandma Donna and Grandpa Jim. These pictures are from dinner at their house while Chloe was super happy.

It is getting easier and easier to make her smile, especially now that she has learned to squeal. She thinks that high pitched ear piercing noise is the funniest thing ever. We caught her squealing here on camera. And yes it is the funniest thing ever! Here she is with Grandma and Grandpa Romerdahl. She is so happy :)

We had another special visitor this week. Ben is back from Africa and came to Alaska just to visit us. Well yes his Dad happens to live here too....so maybe he didn't just come to see us--but he did stop by! Andrew and Ben took Chloe for a stroll. She was all bundled up in her new adorable little fuzzy blue fleece snow suit. So cute.

But not so happy in this picture. If looks could kill. This picture makes me laugh every time.

We took some more photos this morning in her PJ's. She can't sit by herself yet, but I can tell it is coming soon.

Just relaxing :) Thought we should end with a smile.
Good night and happy weekend!
Also, thank you Jim and Donna for watching Chloe last night while we went out for our 3rd Anniversary dinner. Our dinner was amazing (4 courses at the Marx Bros with wine pairings). So sorry she wasn't the perfect little angel she usually is. 45 minutes of inconsolable crying sounds not so fun. Hopefully the earlier pictures will remind you of how good she usually is! :) Thanks again!

Super Cute

It has been quite a busy weekend....How do completely free days fill up so quickly? Well we did finally get some family photos in. Looking at them now I realize that we do not have any of the three of us. I guess we will have to add that on to the to-do list before she gets too big!

Chloe getting in some Dad time.
Happy baby girl with Mom.

All bundled up for a walk with Dad. I was out of town and somehow Andrew managed to do more in a day than I do in a week. Isn't always supposed to happen the other way around?

Getting ready for bed.

Any outfit with ears is automatically adorable. Chloe of course is always adorable.

I realize it has been a long time since I last posted anything. It is the end of the year, which is a super busy time for me at work. Long hours make for fewer posts. We still try to take lots of pictures though. I will try to be a better blogger!
Also----HAPPY 50TH BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!!!!!!

Warning- growing baby!

Andrew thinks Chloe is teething.....he may be right! She drools like crazy and she puts everything in her mouth, every chance she gets! Her fingers are always the old stand-by favorite!
Holy cow- Chloe has mad skills!! She is growing so quickly I can't believe it! She is more like a little person than a little baby these days! If you don't want to see our baby growing up don't look at these next pictures.

Oh yeah she can hold her head up! She can even strike a pose! I did not set this up- it was all Chloe!
Smiling and "talking to me" as I change her diaper!

Playing with her new exer-saucer from Corey and Hetty.
And are you ready for this.......

Here she is standing in her exer-saucer!!!
Oh yes, she is standing!! She is so strong! She is going to one of those babies that skips crawling all together. She always wants to be standing, unless she wants to be sleeping :) She is also quite the good sleeper. Asleep by 7 every night! And awake in the morning around 8:30. Given, she does wake up usually 2 times in the night.
I bought some new diapers for overnight, in the hopes that they will be extra absorbent and allow her to sleep all night. I am trying out two kinds: fuzzibunz and mums buns. We will see if either one makes a difference in her sleeping patterns....if they do I am going to buy more! The mums buns are my favorite because the are lined with super soft velour! Lets just hope they work as good as they look!

I think she may be waking up because she is hungry from all of her growing up- in which case the diapers won't matter at all, except that I may be able to shave 5 min off a midnight feeding by skipping a diaper change. That is worth every penny! Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Fall Colors

Fall is in full swing! The trees are dripping in bright yellows and oranges. It is gorgeous! Lots of leaves are already on the ground, and we had our first frost this morning. Not to mention that the mountains are now covered in snow. Brrr. The air is crisp and chilly. I love this time of year, I just wish it lasted longer.

Andrew took this on a bike ride up in the mountains.
I took this one from the backyard :)
Fall is also the time to prep for winter (which will probably be here in a few weeks). I made Chloe another blanket, one side is super fuzzy, and the other is this beautiful graphic floral Amber found for me.
The amazing ribbons are from the ribbon jar. This project was also very thrifty, as I took the fluffy fabric from another blanket in Chloe's stash of baby gifts. The original blanket was really nice but way too girly- pink on both sides bordered with pink satin embroidered with angelic characters. I wanted to modernize it so I would actually use it and this is what I came up with. The next one I make will probably have a waterproof layer in the inside, so I can put a diaper free Chloe on it for her naked play time. I didn't think of that until after I stitched up the edges.

I have been sewing a lot more lately since I was bequeathed a serger (surger?) from my Mom. Oh my gosh it is so fun to sew on! I did the entire border with it, which is nice because I know the ribbons are really on there and will not come off- ever! Love it love it love it!! Thanks again Mom!!
